I’ve been CTO fro 3 hours and just secured my second deal from the work larry did the day prior.

This deal is hosting the grand opening book club for the high rises coffee shop’s third location opening up soon.

How did this deal happen?

The previous day hosting book club at the same high rise.

When Larry arrived, he made a small scene, said hello to everyone in the building, then he bought his coffee, dropped a $10 bill in the tip jar, then sat down and joined me for book club.

He waited exactly 4 minutes and 30 seconds after sitting down with me.

He jumps up out of his chair and goes back up to the coffee bar and says

“Hey you see that Hamilton in the jar? Thats actually Derricks money everybody that Derrick!”

And all of the staff smiles, and waves.

This was work Larry was doing the day before i was demoted to CTO VP of marketing.

So now it’s the next day. I’m doing book club in the coffee club once again. And the AGM walks over and cold opens ME. She’s like “hey what do you and Larry do?”

I’m like “we do Book Club!” She says “Oh wow thats so cool” “Whats book club about?”

I say “its a book club where instead of like most book clubs that go like this. Problem, its a book club, 3 people, 2 books, nobody read the book, everyone just talking in a circle. Our book club, we are trying to identiy people’s problems, and solve them with a line in the book becasue we know the book so well.”

AGM Then say’s “oh wow thats so cool! How do i join book club?”

I say ‘It’s $800″ and shut the fuck up….

She waits and says, “you know actually im the AGM… and we are getting ready to open up our third location. Here, here’s my email, That blond over there is our GM and here’s her email”

I ask, “would you guys be open to doing a collab for a Grand Open Book Club for your third location” Shes like “Actually yeah, send me an email”

BOOM. I’ve been CTO for 3 hours with Larry selling and we have 2 really great deals already lined up. One is Cold Plunge as an API, the other is Coffee Grand Opening Book Club.

Being CTO, has given me the ability to simply do the VP of marketing work becuase im not occupied with thinking and selling any more. My jobs is documents, posting, documenting, posting in the moment as soon as possible.
